Under fours suffer depression

New statistics reveal that doctors in Scotland are treating dozens of children under the age of four for clinical depression. The Scottish Executive has confirmed that more than 150 pre-school children have been diagnosed. Health Minister Malcolm Chisholm revealed the numbers in a reply to a parliamentary question yesterday (11/02/02). A total of 300,000 Scots were treated for depression in 2000.
