Tired doctors are most in danger, says car
insurer
A leading motor insurer has identified doctors as the most likely profession
to experience motor accidents, raising fears of an imminent premium rise.
Churchill Insurance said doctors were most likely to submit a car insurance
claim in a year-long survey of its two-million motor policy holders. Andrew
Beard, head of motor underwriting at Churchill, said the poorer claims
experience associated with doctors “inevitably reflects the long hours they
work in a very stressful job. Consequently, when driving they are most likely
to be distracted.”
