The 'See Food' Diet

Why some people can't see well after a big meal

(HealthScoutNews) -- Has your vision become blurry after a large meal, even if you don't drink anything stronger than a cup of coffee along with it?

According to the American Journal of Optometry, the condition is called Postprandial Transient Visual Loss, and it's not very common. But when it does happen, people have difficulty seeing for a few minutes after a really big meal.

It's caused by having so much blood flow to the stomach and intestines to help digest the meal that the blood supply to the eyes is reduced.

The solution? Eat smaller meals.
