Teachings of a neglectful church
Sincerity and good intentions are all that matter to God.
Ignore the problems.
Have no needs.
Keep up a good front.
God is impotent or uninvolved.
Bear your own burdens.
Go through the motions.
It's not my responsibility.
Don't get too close.
Don't impose on others.
Play quietly.
Be good.
Don't question; don't rock the boat.
Don't be different, think differently or feel differently.
Religion is a nice part of life but not a lifestyle.
The Bible is a good book of sayings for sermons, weddings, and funerals.
Church is an heirloom you pass down to your children.
Be loyal to your religion - faithfulness is loyalty.
God has lower expectations for members than ministers.
Christ was a good man.
If there is a heaven, everyone will get there except the really bad people (and maybe they will get there too).
