Parents of Teenagers Suffer Most Emotional Damage

Parents of teenagers suffer more emotional and psychological damage from family rows than their offspring, according to a US expert on adolescence. Teenagers may affect short sulks, but they are much more resilient than people assume, delegates at the annual conference of the National Family and Parenting Institute in London will be told this week. Laurence Steinberg, of Temple University in Philadelphia says it is parents who are vulnerable and sensitive, mulling over arguments long after their children have forgotten about them.
