
People who have the urge to eat late at night may not simply be hungry, but may have a serious eating disorder. Scientists in Norway say there are biochemical differences in the bodies of people who characteristically get up in the middle of the night to eat carbohydrate-rich foods. Sufferers of so-called Night Eating Syndrome are prone to stress and obesity, they say. (The Daily Telegraph 13/02/20; p.12)
